Maintenance Services
Enhance La Jolla hires contractors to provide ongoing landscape and maintenance services to supplement city services and keep the Village looking its best. The services provided are based on the scope of services as approved by the property owners when they approved the formation of the MAD. These services include:
- Additional trash collection
- Litter abatement
- Graffiti control
- Landscape maintenance
- Power washing of sidewalks
Enhance La Jolla Village Streetscape Plan
La Jolla architects collaborated to develop a plan to improve community gathering spaces by reclaiming space for pedestrians and increasing the available space for street furniture and landscape. A new plaza on Prospect Street between Girard and Herschel will be a catalyst for business, socializing, and programming throughout the year. Enhancements to Girard Avenue will increase accessibility and safety, and expand the pedestrian realm with a mix of tree types offering shade during the day, additional lighting fixtures at night, and employ various traffic calming measures.
